Yesterday concluded the #GreatAmericanPhotoChallenge. Our final day's photo was of one of the most iconic American places: the Statue of Liberty. If you didn't know, the Statue of Liberty was gift of friendship by the people of France and is recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. Her torch lights the way to freedom showing us the path to liberty. Even the Statue's official name represents her most important symbol "Liberty Enlightening the World".
If you missed the challenge, check out the Bourbon and Politics Facebook page or Instagram feed to see all 10 days' posts. We 'visited' places like Mt. Rushmore, Chinatown in San Francisco, a seaside village in New England, Disney World, and the painted desert in Arizona. There are so many amazing places across this great country that evoke powerful memories and unite us as Americans. We are truly blessed to live in a country where there are mountains to climb and oceans to swim in and fields to roam. I hope that our #GreatAmericanPhotoChallenge inspires you to hit the road to discover one of these places
